School of Education: Preparing Educators to Transform Lives

The mission of the School of Education is to prepare educators and support the lifelong learning of professionals to embrace diversity and to be intellectually and ethically strong, resilient and passionate in their work with Alaska鈥檚 learners, families, educators and communities. Programs emphasize the power of learning to transform people鈥檚 lives. Across the University, faculty members teach professional educators to work in diverse settings, to form and sustain learning partnerships, and to provide learning across the life span.

The SOE offers undergraduate and graduate curricula and programs designed to prepare personnel for various professional roles related to education in a variety of learning environments. The school offers high-quality distance-delivered coursework in order to improve access for rural students and provide flexible scheduling for practicing educators. Graduate programs are offered entirely online. Undergraduate programs are offered online, in person, and hybrid. The Student Success Office works with faculty and students to support local placements for all students completing internships or other clinical field experiences.

  The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) has continuously accredited the 做爱色情片 (做爱色情片) since 1974. Most School of Education programs also have specialized accreditations. This includes advanced certification/endorsement programs, which are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). In accordance with CAEP requirements, supporting evidence on required performance measures is presented annually to inform the public of program outcomes and program impacts.
