Swipe Away Hunger campaign shatters record again

by Green & Gold News  |

Seawolf Dining is again happy to announce the overwhelming success of the spring 2024 Swipe Away Hunger campaign. This campus-wide initiative combats food insecurity among students and collected 310 meal swipe donations after the campaign closed on May 6.

Through this initiative, participants had the opportunity to donate unused meal swipes from their meal plans to help fellow students facing food insecurity. This spring, Seawolves's generosity surpassed all expectations and highlighted the collective commitment to addressing hunger among our peers.

David Weaver, executive director of Campus Services, once again expresses his heartfelt gratitude directly to you for the fantastic response: "We take great pride in you, our campus community, coming together to make positive differences in the lives of our fellow students. The success of the Swipe Away Hunger campaign is a testament to your dedication to fostering a supportive and empathetic environment for all campus members."

Trenten Hall, Seawolf Dining programming director, will provide the donated meal swipes to the Dean of Students for distribution.

Seawolf Dining thanks everyone who donated this spring. Your generosity has made a significant impact on creating a community that cares for one another.
